H{ippity} hop Easter card

Happy Monday!! I have an Easter Card today using the beautiful cross from What Matters Most and the new French Lilac ink (which I have in stock - I would love to send some your way!!).  I also used chipboard on this card for the Ippity Challenge.  The picture looks a little funny because this is a gatefold card and it popped open a bit as I took the picture.  I used Crate Paper - Kaitlyn, May Arts Ribbon, Prima Flowers, Kaiser Craft pearls, a chipboard tag and Bazzill Cardstock.   If you have not participated in the challenges yet, you can find them each week on the Unity Blog or at Splitcoast Stampers - join us - the more the merrier!! We all love the inspiration and seeing what everyone else does!!

Unity Friends with Flair Friday

and it's a great sunshiny day!!! After all day of rain yesterday it sure makes me happy to see the sun shine!! I have had lots of fun with this month's KOTM!! This first card today I made for my little niece's birthday. She is a total cutie!! I added a little sparkle (with shimmerz paint) to this card to match her personality! Isn't this scooter the cutest!!  The last two cards are some CAS cards that I am really beginning to love!!  I used some more scraps from the scrap pile and some Shimmerz Vibez for the jukebox card. (Does anybody else freak out just a little when they use the last little scrap of a favorite ribbon or in this case fabric?  I hope it's not just me!!).  I also got to play with my Donna Downy Insightful Meadow stamps and they are beautiful HUGE stamps!! I love them!!  I will be using them on some scrapbook pages in the very near future!!! I still have a great Ippity Prize Giveaway

CPS Sketch #159

I absolutely LOVE the sketches at CPS! Not to mention the inspiration! I don't get to play along as often as I would like but I have been on a challenge roll this week!!  This is a very CAS card which I am usually not very good at but I really like how this turned out.  I think it is because the top layer is popped up.  I don't do that often enough but it sure adds a little something!  These adorable stamps are from this month's Unity KOTM.  Card base and blue cardstock are from PTI.  Ribbon is from Creative Impressions.  Simple and sweet! Don't forget - I have blog candy.

This card is for the Papertake Weekly Challenge blog.  I love sketch challenges!!  Paper is PaperTrey Inc., images are from this month's Unity KOTM and Ippity Sweet thoughts of Spring (the border) which I have on sale see my side bar!  I also used spellbinder's nesties to cute the circles and cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the background.  I used copics to color everything in!  The inside of the card says "with a friend like you". Thanks for looking and please see my blog candy here.

Doesn't this image just look like it is bolting out Tutti Fruti Oh Rudy!! Paper is Basic Grey Euphoria and the card base is Paper Trey Inc. Mindi's Baby Shower Invite

I ordered this fun stamp set when I went to a friend's scrapbook weekend event. Mindi really liked it so we used it to do her Baby Shower invitations. I am also entering this into the Crafty Creations Challenge.  This week is about babies!! How perfect!!

I think they turned out pretty cute - simple - not my normal look but I liked them anyway!! The paper is dream street - which I used on the inside too but didn't take a picture. The stamps are the Angel Company. Spellbinders for the Scalloped Rectangle. The embossing folder is from QuicKutz.  I used my copic markers to color in the mama but since I so rarely do people stamps I didn't have the color for flesh LOL so she's a little white!!  We had to use green for the shirt since that is Mindi's favorite color!!  Don't forget about my blog candy!

More cards from the scrap pile!!

Using my fabulous Unity KOTM.This one is for the 2 Sketches 4 You Challenge.  They have some great sketches to get those creative juices flowing!!  I used Core'dinations cardstock (the inside of this card is that pretty purple that I used on the jukebox), Basic Grey paper for the stripes, a QuicKutz embossing folder, spellbinders die for the circle and copic markers. Enjoy your day and don't forget about the blog candy listed here.

H{ippity} hop & spring cleaning!

I had a great weekend! Was featured on the Ippity blog (see the post below) and was inspired by the All Things Unity blog challenge to use scraps.  So I cleaned up my scrapbook table and I am a bit ashamed to say I have let the scraps pile up for quite a while!!  I made this card for my dd's boyfriend (every bit of it was in the scrap pile.  I don't even remember using that green mesh LOL!!)  Then as I continued to clean things up a bit I made 6 more cards using only scraps from the pile - and I am talking entire cards!! Even the card bases came out of the scrap pile!! It's too rainy to get good pictures of all of them but I will try to get them all on this week.

Be sure to check the post below - the blog candy for leaving a comment on the Sweet Thoughts of Spring Sale ends at 8:00 p.m. tonight.  The blog candy for making a purchase ends Friday night at 8:00 p.m.  Good luck!!

We have had a few FABULOUS days of Spring.  I love seeing the sun shine, flowers popping up out of the ground and a bird right outside my window singing me awake in the mornings - makes me so happy! My Unity KOTM and Scrapbook Kit make me happy too!  Yesterday I rushed home after work and snapped a few pictures of Lucky!! He got a new haircut and looks ADORABLE!!  I got this new Lucky title which I know is supposed to be for St. Patrick's Day but it is too perfect for my Lucky Dog!!  I broke out my  awesome new kits and came up with this...  What do you think? I was inspired by AJ's clean and simple layout and her little stickers over part of the quote!!  Thank you so much Angela and Unity Design Team you all ROCK and inspire the rest of us so much!!  To see even more inspiration go back to the Unity Blog for the complete list.

Guess What I have?

2 things really... Spring FEVER and new Purple Ippity Ink!!  Actually it is French Lilac doesn't that just sound gorgeous?!!  I used the new ink for both of these cards.  Both cards also have the Sweet Thoughts of Spring Ippity stamps (which is on SALE click the link on the sidebar to the right!!)  The first card I used one of the fun borders in the Spring Kit.  and the You are fabulous sentiment from Right Where You Should Be.  Hello Spring uses two stamps from the Spring Kit and the Butterflies from What Matters Most.  Isn't it great how all these stamps are so versatile!!  The papers are Crate - Kaitlyn (which I have had since I went to CKC last year and thought I better use up before I go back this year LOL!!) I LOVE the purple - I don't know why I waited so long to use them (can you say paper hoarder!!)  I made the flower using plain cotton batting and Shimmerz Vibez.  It is so shimmery and pretty (hard to tell in this picture). Check back tomorrow for Unity Friends with Flair AND Saturday - I have a surprise on Saturday ♥

Our Daily Bread 2nd Anniversary Challenge #4

For this challenge we were supposed to use our favorite stamps to make a card.  I love this stamp!!  It is from this awesome Thinking of You set.  I know I will be using this a lot!! The paper is from Prima and I love it - can you see the writing?  It has the fruit of the spirit verse! and it is just so pretty.  I used a lace ribbon from Rusty Pickle that I have had forever and ran another ribbon through it, gathered it and tied a bow with twine. I thought it was really pretty.  I hope it doesn't look too much like curtains!!  The cardstock base is core'dinations and is pink inside.  I distressed the edges just a bit to complete the look. It was fun playing all the challenges for the Anniversary THANKS ODBD!!

h{Ippity} hop layouts

OK so this first page doesn't have any stamping on it!! Crazy I know! The second page does and since they kinda go together I wanted to show both. I used Ippity stamp sets What Matters Most and Love in Return.  (To order these stamps send me an email - I have a sale going on too!)  The papers for these layouts are brand spankin' new from Prima called Flights of Fancy I got mine at ACOT.  I L♥VE L♥VE L♥VE these papers.  I also used the brown polka dot from the LUSH line from My Minds Eye (also at ACOT).  The second page was sprayed with Shimmerz Vibez Spritz over the butterfly mask from Tattered Angels.  It is soooooo shimmery. I also used the spritz on the flowers.  Click on the photo to see the layouts better. I entered both of these into challenges on the ACOT forum.

To see the rest of the h{Ippity} hop participants start here at the Ippity blog.  And don't forget to enter the Ippity challenges posted every week here at SCS.

PageMaps Sketch Challenge Layout from ACOT

A Cherry on Top is a fun online store that I like a lot.  It has fun challenges every month and online crops every so often. I made a layout using a PageMaps Sketch for this Challenge. (I tried to upload the sketch I used but blogger isn't liking it. - if you click the link it is the 5th sketch).  I used Kaiser Craft, Making Memories and Reminisce papers. I also used Prima Bling and Ippity Stamps Regal Greetings and Love in Return!   If you would like to see all of the Ippity Stamps I have available for purchase click the blinkies on the right.  These are amazing quality stamps (a sister company to Unity and only available from Ippity Chicks like ME)  I would love to send some your way!! If you are interested in either of these sets and purchase one of the sets on sale along with it, I will still offer you FREE shipping and lots of FREE paper and embellishments!! Send me an email if I can help!  To see the layout a little better click on it.  Sorry for the bad picture.

Our Daily Bread 2nd Anniversary Challenge

What a wonderful celebration for an awesome company with beautiful religious stamps!!  For this challenge we had to use cotton.  My card uses cotton ribbon and cotton twill. (the felt is 100% wool - but so cute I wanted to use it too LOL).  I also used my new Kaiser Craft Devonshire 6x6 pad, a Jenni Bowlin button and Core'dinations cardstock. I cut the brown shape with my nestie and embossed with a cuttlebug folder. The beautiful stamp set is called Get Well.  I know I will be using it alot.

BoBunny Sketch Challenge and More Spring Fun

BoBunny is one of my favorite paper companies!! Robyn Weatherspoon designed the sketch for the challenge - you can see more about it here. and since I just ♥ Robyn's stuff I had to play along!!  I used a kraft card base, then BoBunny DoubleDot, then I layered with two papers from the Unforgettable line and the Abbey Road line (which is still one of my favorites!!) The stamp is Ippity (a sister company to Unity) - Where You Should Be (a fabulous kit that you can only get from Ippity Chicks like me ♥) If you would like to see the entire kit click on the winter 2010 release blinkie on the side bar.  I would love to send one your way!!
