Ippity's Fabulous Feature Wednesday

Today's feature on the Ippity blog is Stitches of Buttons - I used this fabulous (AND HUGE) background stamp to make lots of buttons to accent Mariah's birthday card!! (I can't believe my baby is almost 18 years old!!!)  Love this simple stories paper too - I used some from my 6x6 pad and the flowers were cut from a the 12x12 sheet!!

Two more Core'dinations Crop Challenges done :)

I am having so much fun with these challenges!!  Today I was inspired by Ellen's Pinterest challenge.  I am so ADDICTED to Pinterest!! and a new favorite board... Hard Core Projects!!
This is the card that inspired me
and here is my take on it!!  I adore this Simple Stories paper! And since Core'dinations has so many fabulous colors of cardstock it was easy to find some that looked great with the patterned paper. (I believe these are all out of the Tim Holtz Distress and Adirondack packs)
I used Ippity set Now and Always to stamp my flowers and leaves and then cut out and layered.
The card stands up on it's own because of the folds at the bottom of the flower pot.
The flowers pull out of the flower pot to write a note.

My next card is for Lydia's color challenge
Great Christmas colors :) I used Echo Park Christmas paper and
Jenny Bowlin and Cosmo Cricket Core'dinations packs)
Stamps are from the Season of Joy Ippity set.

I was also inspired by the this card from Unity DT member Shellye McDaniel.  I loved the design and case'd it for my card!!

Another Core'dinations Crop Challenge

I just love a good challenge to get my juices flowing!!!  These cards are also for Michaella's collection to use at school. (I mean if you have to send a note home with a kid because of discipline issues wouldn't it be easier to take with a super cute card?!) Well at least I think so! LOL  Debbie's All Cardstock challenge inspired me.

I used all Core'dinations Kraft cardstock for this challenge.  Love the kraft and the way it looks sanded!!! It is also perfect for the inside of a card because it is not too dark to write a  note!  I love it for fall cards! So I stamped up these adorable pumpkins from Ippity set Fall for You. I cut out the large pumpkin layers 3 times and sanded the edges to give it a great shaded look. Then used pop up foam to give it a nice look.  For the short pumpkin I cut out the center oval 4 times, sanded, folded in half and glued together to make this a 3-D pumpkin!!  I added a little American Crafts ribbon (a little twine) and a few Prima Flowers to embellish.  I sanded the orange top layer of cardstock then stitched it to my yellow and layered on top of the brown.  The sentiment stamp is from Ippity set Just Wanted to Say.

Core 'dinations Crop Challenge & Friends with Flair

Today I wanted to play along with the Core'dinations Crop Challenges and of course join in the Unity Friends with Flair fun!!!  I have been helping my daughter (who is a first year teacher) with her classroom.  We have made lots of fun things and I am wanting to make her a bunch of cards so she will have them on hand when she needs them for her students, etc.   Jennifer's "Strip It" challenge inspired me and I came up with these cards. (I made 6 because teachers always need a few thank you's ready!!)

I used strips of the Core'dinations Fancy Pants collection with this fabulous texture and sanded over the top to show off the texture. (all cardstock is Core'dinations) I added twine from the Twinery. And stamped the sun from Ippity set Quotes a'la Happy and the sentiment from Ippity set Music of my Heart.

If you like these stamps - they are available to order (along with many other GORGEOUS sets) on the Unity website - I would love it if you would choose me (Rona Mallard) as your Ippity chick!!

NEW - Wednesday Fabulous Feature

Every Wednesday on the Ippity Blog we are now featuring a new set and several of the Ippity chicks are sharing a project using the same set.  I just love features like that so you can see the same set used in lots of different ways!! So much fun.  Here is my entry today for Born in my Heart.  I used a ric rak die to cut the simple stories background paper several times.  Then stitched it to the dark brown paper. Then I cut a heart (free-hand) from the simple stories quilt paper and inked up the edges. I used little cutouts from the same simple stories 6x6 pad and stamped my sentiment from the Ippity set on one and die cut using a spellbinders die.  I colored my ribbon with a copic and added some cute little pins to finish it off.

If you would like to order this set (or any other Ippity sets) you can email me or order straight from the Unity website (and I would love it if you would choose me as your Ippity chick my picture is on the last row - in the middle!!)  Have a great day!!
