I love Triple the Sketch! They had their first anniversary yesterday and a very fun blog hop!! Some serious talent let me tell you. They also have lots of prizes to "inspire" and challenge us so this card is for the challenge at danielle holsapple's blog. Check out the blog hop before Sunday - click the link on the sidebar!!!
I love my new Unity Stamps! This quote is from a set I just got yesterday! I'm playing some more so maybe I'll get another card on here before the end of the day!

Cardvarks Challenge

I have decided to start trying some of the various challenges that are out there. I have always loved the sketches but I thought if I did some of the challenges it would help get me motivated!! This card turned out pretty nice - we always hate having to do sympathy cards. I even took a nice picture but then couldn't get it uploaded so once again I am falling back on the scanner which really made the colors look awful! But you get the idea. Check out the site I have a link on the sidebar! The cards are amazing.

I made this card for a friend who lost her son yesterday. It is so unbelievable hard to think about losing a child. He was only 36 years old.
*Edit: I got the photo to load but I was afraid to delete the other picture and not have it linked right. Amazing how much different a photo looks compared to a scan!

I have two favorite quotes for you both by Ralph Waldo Emerson:

It is not the length of life, but the depth of life. To know even one life has breather easier because you have lived - this is to have succeeded.

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.

Now Hop on my new friends - Cheri is a cool chick from Alaska and she is your next stop. (she's giving away a fun stamp if you scroll down a bit!)

Wow it's been over a month

since I posted! I so enjoy looking at other people's blogs that I really thought I would do better at this!! I am staying very busy. Work is really good. I have gotten INTO the scrapbook room!!! Seriously I was able to rearrange and get a table in their so I can work!! I did make some Christmas cards (and some I sold as a fundraiser for my mission offering!) I have also been working very diligently on making kits for our next event! More on that coming soon...

RAK

Everyone loves a Random Act of Kindness Prize right?! So I thought I would try that here. Leave me a comment by Friday night at 10:00 p.m. and 2 winners will be selected (by random.org) to receive a prize worth over $50.00!!! HOWEVER, you must come by the Osage Center garage sale between 8:00 a.m. to noon or between 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to see if you have won and to claim your prize!! Do not comment here if you cannot go to the Osage because I don't want someone to be chosen and then not claim their prize.

Everyone will love the bargains at the Community Garage Sale! I have been working on some great stuff! I even made up packs of paper, embellishments (with some bonus cutouts from my new Cricut graphically speaking cartridge) with values of over $10.00 that will sell for $3.00! Even if you came to the garage sale at Estes Deli, you will find lots of different things at the Osage Sale!!

Please email all your friends and let them know about the Sale and the RAK!!!

What I have been working on

may not really inspire you much but I thought I would share it anyway. These are the cards that I will be "teaching" at the Acteens retreat next weekend. I have spent - it feels like a hundred hours cutting out the stars, circles and phrases (then running them through my xyron) so that everything will be ready for the girls to put together. These will then go to a military base to be sent to soldiers serving overseas. I have over 160 cards ready so far!!! So even though they are not elaborate, I wanted to share so you wouldn't think that I started this blog and then haven't done anything!!

Please Pray

for the Wood's family. Natalie Wood died Sunday after a horrible dirt bike accident. She was 10 years old. Natalie's dad and brother, Cameron were in the truck that hit her. I cannot imagine any grief greater than what they are experiencing right now. I know without tremendous prayer support they will not make it through this!! Mindi, who has lived with us for the last year and a half, is a part of that family. She has dated Ben, Natalie's brother for about 6 years. They are a wonderful family and I ask that you remember them day and night in your prayers!!
