Hello to all my Friends with Flair!!

I hope everyone got a chance to check out Angela's Blog and the winners of the first Unity Bachelor challenge!! So fun and creative these Unity folks!! There is another challenge and some great prizes so if you haven't ...go check it out!! For this first card my inspiration came from the very talented Amber Hight and this card. (Amber, I know my card doesn't do your design justice - but thanks for the inspiration) and really that is one of the things that is so great about the Unity Design team and this Friends with Flair hop - so many great ideas that help us with our cardmaking!! Anyway, my card uses Fancy Pants and Daisy Bucket patterned paper, kraft & Bazzill cardstock, Versa Fine and Unity Ink, Petaloo Flowers, May Arts ribbon and Fabulous Unity Stamps!

And while I had everything out I made this one too. Love using black and brown together - perfect with these stamps I thought.

And I did finish a 2 page layout. I'm not crazy about it - it just seems a little plain. But what do you do with so many photos? If you have any suggestions, please leave me a comment! I would love the input!! These stamps are from the LeChic Vintage set - and it looks like next week Unity will be releasing another scrapbook collage set!! Wow - can't wait to see it!! Have a great week!

Friday Friends with Flair

Wow after sooooo much excitement yesterday at Unity I am totally inspired!! I didn't get as many projects done as I originally planned this week. Todd has been out of town at a training all week and I thought I would get lots of crafty time in - but I do have some fun stuff to show...

This first card is for a sweet lady at church who just had twins!! Miracle babies that we have been praying for and are now here and doing well! I had to print my message because I didn't have a twins stamp.
my second project is a bookmark for a challenge to use blue at A Cherry on Top where I get some of my PP.
This card has a super cute Unity image!! I just love that little bicycle!! I also used my last scrap of this awesome paper that came with my LeChic kit! The groovy sticker was a bargain from Simply a Dollar! My 15 year old informed me that people don't say groovy anymore!! In case you needed to know that!! My next card is for this weeks Unity Addict challenge. I love this Cosmo Cricket paper and I really thought this would be a super easy challenge but my mojo just wasn't there.
And okay, not sure I should show you this last one LOL this is my entry in the Bachelor Challenge - we had to do an "invitation" for our special someone and we had to use red, black and green!! I made this card to hide on my hubby's pillow since he is getting home today from a week long trip!! Michaella (my 20 year old) told me that it was "gross"!! I'm sure he'll like it though!! The C-A-R-D I'm talking about the CARD!!!

Have fun checking out all the other Unity Addicts inspiration!! I hope to be back next week with more layouts!!

LeChic Friends with Flair!!

This card is made with stamps from LeChic Vintage and the Sending my Love sets from Unity!! I sanded a few spots on my core'dinations white wash paper then stamped the notebook paper image over the sanded spots. I distressed it and stamping missing you at the bottom. Then I sewed it onto a matching cardstock. The little envelopes were stamped on the back of a scrap of the same core'dinations paper and cut out. Colored my little flowers with Copics. I liked this one so much I made 3!!

2 page layout and some close ups of the stamping. I used several stamps from the LeChic Vintage kit and the enjoy life single stamp. The jillibean soup paper and ink are also from the kit!! I also used the round paper from Making Memories. The red/brown cardstock is from Core'dinations. The flowers are Creative Impressions (felt) and the swirls and heart is Fancy Pants felt. On the 2nd page I used the Confession: I luv Unity kit. These pictures are from our vacation in Florida.

This card uses the tree from Growing in Unity and the sentiment from the Sept. Store Kit. Printed paper is Fancy Pants.

Friends with Flair

Love that title!! I can't wait to see what all my Unity friends did this week. These are the rest of the projects I did this weekend. Sorry for the small pictures I am having issues with the quality if I try to make them bigger. Click on any of them to view them bigger. All have Unity stamps. "This is their favorite picture" uses Confession: I love Unity and the August KOTM; I also used several different rub-ons; bo bunny and Urban Lily paper; prima tape and a 7gypsies clip. The Grand page (which is my favorite) also uses the Confession: I love Unity and the August KOTM; Bo Bunny, Collage Press and Core'dinations paper; and some twine, a flower and Fancy Pants buttons. The G was cut with my cricut. The altered clothes pin is Creative Impressions - I used the Unity Something Within set, fancy pants and bazzill flowers, Sassafrass Lass paper and twine.
*Side note on the first layout - the girls want THIS picture to be on our Christmas cards this year!! Of all the awesome pictures we have from vacation THIS is their favorite!!! Ughhhhhh KIDS!
AND a tip for you - Stacey Kingman is giving away a class on Scrapbooking with Fabric by Tania Willis - it looks really neat!! You can get to her blog by clicking the link on the sidebar.

Layouts!!

I spent the weekend doing my first ever online crop. It was fun - challenges, games and fast scraps. It was on the A Cherry on Top site. I got 5 layouts, 3 cards and an altered clip done!! I am going to post a couple now and a couple more on Friday for the Unity "Friends with Flair" hop!! Hopefully I am on a roll now and can continue to scrapbook more often. I have no idea why the pictures look so grainy!! If you click on them the show up great but I could enlarge them at all!
