Playing some challenges

I decided I wanted to play some challenges so I popped over to Feline Playful and wrote down some interesting ones and came up with this!!  First the challenge at Stamping Vacation was to name your own challenge and believe me MASCULINE is a big challenge for me so I decided to go with that! The other challenge I wanted to play is at Catered Crop (If you haven't been over there you should it is a really FUN blog!!) Here was the recipe and you just pick what you want to use!! How fun is that?! I highlighted my choices in red below.  All stamps are Unity and Ippity. Oh and I used up some scraps - so extra little pat on my back for that too!!! LOL

Here's your FTR9 recipe.

• Pattern Paper – stripes, plaids and polka dots
• Colors – kraft, red, green, blue, and yellow
• Stamps – alphabets and stars
• Color Mediums – stamping ink
• Embellishments – bling, buttons, ribbon
• Tools – sewing machine, distressing tools
• Techniques – sewing, distressing, try threading your buttons with ribbons, ruffled paper/ribbon
• Theme – Boys! and Alligators?!
• Shapes – stars, circles, scallops, and swirls

FWF Friday

I made these cards for this cause.  Isn't that awesome that a 5th grade boy wants to send thank you cards to every single deployed American soldier!! Love it!!  These cards were a messy adventure!! I loved this MM paper with the stars cut out but the light baby colors just wouldn't work so I painted it with gesso.  Then I used red smooch spray instead of ink to stamp the stars (Ippity set Authentic Man) and ink the edges. The blue paper is older from MM it is super sparkly but you can't tell in this picture!  The sentiment is from the Unity September Store kit. Ippity Monday

Did everyone have a good crafty weekend? I did some fun stuff yesterday (I will be sharing that very soon) I also made a birthday card for Todd. His birthday is this week and we celebrated today with a big dinner and ice cream cake!! So for the card, I used some super old Crate paper (that I still love) and Authentic Man - love that set!! I have never liked my manly cards so much!! Super easy!! Have a great Monday.

H{Ippity} Hop - Enjoy the Ride...

This is my Dog Days of Summer challenge card.  This car and the sayings I used really remind me of a vintage summer.  I don't know why...I never had a convertible to go riding with the top down in the summer - but it sure sounds good doesn't it!!  I used Ippity stamp sets Authentic Man and Life is the Journey -both are in stock and available for purchase here!!  Have a great Monday!
