I know great artists never have to explain their art - but since I am not a great artist I'm giving you my super deep, in depth, symbolic meaning for each step of my card! LOL
I LOVE this sentiment and believe it with all my heart! So I started with that. I cut it into a pretty shape from Spellbinders and then used Shimmerz Vibez in Blue Jean and a waterbrush to swipe color over the sentiment. I didn't feel like "splatter" reflected the "pain" but the soft swipes (some darker than others did). Next the butterfly. I colored mine with plain yellow because in the midst of pain we don't always feel multi-colored and beautiful...But a sparkle of hope is ALWAYS there! (the sparkle is red spica pen and then I spritzed the whole butterfly with Shimmerz Vibez in Egg Noggin). My hope is in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the patterned paper (Cosmo Cricket) in the background reminded me of lots of pretty picture frames which for this card symbolized snippets of painful situations from my past that Jesus has brought me through and that now I can look back and be reminded that I AM STRONGER because of it!!!
OK if you made it this far, you can laugh or just think I am silly - but it felt very good making this card today and it really makes me happy looking at it!!
Now have a fabulous time with the rest of the hop and don't forget that you can purchase all of these new stamps on the Unity Website. I would love for you to choose me, Rona Mallard as your Ippity chick and then have fun shopping!! Unity and Ippity can be ordered on the same order. And there are lots of fun new Unity stamps being released today too!!
Rebecca is next and I know she has something fabulous to share with you!!
Enjoy.
