I'll be scrappin' this weekend with some Fabulous Friends with Flair!!
We will also have some stuff set up for sale!!! Victorian Inn for any locals looking for some great bargains!!! Or just come by and say "Hi!"
Anybody else sick of seeing these colors on my blog? These are the thank you's!! I made about 40 (may have to do a few more) the shower is Sunday so we'll see. Last thing I have to do is the programs. I'm just waiting for Mindi to get me all the info. Things are coming together so nicely for the wedding! I am getting excited for her :)
This was my entry for last week's bachelor challenge! We had to use something found around the house that we didn't normally use on a card. I used a newspaper article about autism for my boss's day card (since I work at the Autism Center). The quote was perfect for my boss and she loved the card. Don't you just love these challenges for getting your mind open to new things!! And this last picture is of my baby girl!! We went for a walk at the park last weekend and this was my favorite picture!! I hope to have pictures of my oldest daughter and her best friend Mindi from the bridal shower in my next post.

Yeah it's Friday - Hi all you Friends with Flair
If you haven't checked out this sale yet GO DO IT!! Seriously what a sale! I love everything I have purchased from them over the past 6 months and let me tell you a little secret ... These are the nicest people you have ever "met"!! Thursday during a game tiebreaker I got so excited and actually came in second and Angela (Unity's owner) gave out two prizes!! WHO DOES THAT!! Unity does!! "Real" people!! They all want to inspire us and they love it when we have fun - now that's a great company!
Well I hate to let anybody down - since I have been showing lots of stuff on Fridays -but this has not been a good week. I made one card and had to do a quick picture without waiting for natural light. The prima flower is actually the same blue as the adorable sassafras paper but the picture is terrible. Thank you stamp is from Unity's Simply Said set. The second card I just had to do try out my new spellbinders impressibility. I used core'dination whitewash paper and embossed it. I also stamped on the back of the same core'dination paper. I used one of my favorite stamps from the June KOTM. I also love this pretty saying stamp from the Simply Said set. Printed paper is Basic Grey two scoops. Have a great weekend!

Fabulous Fall Friday Friends with Flair
For our Unity Friends with Flair day today, I want to show you how I have been spending most of my free time!! I made around 65 of these bridal invitations and am now working on the wedding invitations. Will have those out in the mail by Saturday - then I have a few decorations for the shower, the programs and thank yous to do... then I need to get back to the 50th wedding anniversary plans for my in-laws!! I did take a little time last night to make a couple of cards to share today. Sure am glad this cute little image was in the Unity KOTM - I think these turned out adorable!! And yes these are Mindi's colors even though the wedding is November 7th. It is totally her!! (Mindi is my daughter's best friend - last Wednesday she moved her wedding date up from NEXT October to November 7th this year!!! Needless to say we are scrambling!)
I got the Cosmo Cricut Earth Love 6 x 6 pad in the mail along with the Unity October Store Kit and this gorgeous Unity Simple Blessing set!! Love it all - I wish I had more time right now with so much fun stuff to play with!! The flowers, leaves and bling are Prima, cardstock is Core'dinations.
This card is not my usual style. I love this quote and flower also from the Unity KOTM!! I also used the Cosmo Cricket and some Basic Grey for a little pop of red. Have a great weekend.

Goodbye Sweet Amanda
This post is dedicated in loving memory of Amanda Sanders. I did not know Amanda very well. I met her and her sister several years ago when they came into my little shop and brightened my day. Maybe part of it was because of the special relationship between the two and I was missing my sister (who is my best friend) and lives so far away. Anyway I was immediately drawn to them and loved their visits every month or so. A few years later Amanda was in the store by herself and we began talking. She told me of her rare cancer diagnosis - she was already going through treatments and had not even told her professors at college. She was determined to finish her teaching degree. She was amazingly positive and very grounded in her beautiful faith. I immediately began praying for her and every time I saw her and/or her sister, Sheila they were always quick to praise God for what he was doing in their lives. Amanda finished her teaching degree and got a job teaching elementary children. Since I had closed the store I did not see them much any more but was aware of God's spirit urging me to pray for her at different times. I know that Amanda made a big impact on me and I can only image how many others. She and Sheila were active in the relay for life team at the school Amanda taught. I also know that many of the scrapbook/card supplies they were buying were used to make cards at church to encourage others!! As we say goodbye to an amazing 25 year old young woman I have no doubt that Jesus is welcoming her into his arms and telling her "Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant"!!

Unity Friends with Flair
"You only get just one time around, you only get one shot at this
One chance to find out the one thing that you don’t wanna miss
One day when it’s all said and done I hope you see that it was enough
This one ride, one try, one life to love" 33 miles
